From the lesson Adding Images and Videos to Posts
Work through each step on paper or on screen. Use a real business, a project of your own or a friend’s idea. Keep this page for your portfolio.
1Create three posts with media.
2Write alt text for each image.
3Compare which type gets more response.
Worked example to compare with: Text-only versus image
- Text-only post: "Our new menu is here." Few replies.
- Image post: a bright photo of the new menu with the line "Which would you order first?" More replies.
- Rule: use clear, high-contrast images that read on a phone, and add alt text describing the image.
- Check: view the post on your phone at arm's length. Can you tell what it is?
Check yourself
- I can explain "Adding Images and Videos to Posts" in one sentence.
- I used a real business or project, not just an idea.
- I know what I will do next, and by when.
